Horsemanship Assistants

Lesson Volunteers participate in the lesson by leading the horse or sidewalking, coaching and game development. Depending on the skill of the rider, it may takes up to three volunteers to assist one child.

Equine and Barn Volunteers   Many of our volunteers are knowledgeable of horse care but this is not a prerequisite. Since safety is a paramount aspect of the ranch, our extensive training program teaches each of our interested volunteers how to handle, feed and care for our program horses. Our dedicated volunteers feel they benefit as much as the students by being a part of the Mounted Dream Center.

Vocational Training Mentors

We help our students make positive personal choices for both body and mind. Vocational Training students use our ranch to practice job skills, learn and practice positive life skills, and often discover a particular area of interest to pursue for future employment. Some of our students have gotten their first job while with us, or as a result of what they have learned at MDC.  For all of them, development of life and job skills is imperative if they are to prosper as healthy, productive, contributing members of our society.

Office Staff

Administrative Volunteers  assist with mailings, filing or answering phones.

Fundraising Volunteers help plan our exciting special events. Other opportunities may include on-site tours or participation on committees.

You could make a difference to the welfare of those who can’t ask for themselves? Please consider sharing your skills or knowledge with our staff or students.  Below are a few examples of where you might be able to help.
