VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The gang's all here!
|
New Volunteer Classes start monthly!
Lesson Volunteers participate in the lesson by leading the horse or sidewalking, grooming, and tacking the horses. Depending on the skill of the rider, it may take as many as three volunteers to assist one child.
Office Volunteers assist with administrative functions which may include helping with mailings, filing or answering phones.
Fundraising Volunteers staff and help plan our exciting special events. Other opportunities may include on-site tours or participation on committees.
Many of our volunteers are knowledgeable of horse care but this is not a prerequisite. Since safety is a paramount aspect at the ranch, our mentoring program teaches each of our interested volunteers how to handle, feed and care for our program horses. Our dedicated volunteers feel they benefit as much as the students by being a part of the Mounted Dream Center.
High School Senior Projects, College Interns and 4-H Members are especially welcome. We work closely with the students to create a challenging project that is beneficial to all involved.
Are you interested in contributing to the welfare of those who can't ask for themselves? If so, MDC Ranch has many aspects where you could share your skills and knowledge with this special program. We are expanding fast and feeling the growing pains. We hope you would like to assist us in our areas of need. Do you have interests or backgrounds in any of these areas?
